Dr. Yonatan Calahorra joined the group late 2015 to study nanoscale phenomena in piezoelectric materials, following his PhD (Electrical Engineering, Technion, Israel). He explored piezoelectric in a wide range of materials, from ferroelectric polymers to semiconductor nanowires, and developed atomic force microscopy (AFM) methods for these studies. Yonatan joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Technion as an Assistant Professor in March 2021, and heads the Magneto-Electro-Mechanical Smart Materials (MEMSM) research group.
