Dr Ruhi Patel is a materials engineer with a background in polymer science, manufacturing and medical devices. She has experience in the design and development of components for a range of medical applications including polymer heart valves and ventilators. She is currently working with the group on developing a force-sensing device for application as a surgical aid in orthopaedics.
